EGJH-TVHS Library Mission:

The mission of the Emily Gray Junior High - Tanque Verde High School library is to partner with students, faculty, families, and community to achieve the goals of the Tanque Verde School District by collaboratively teaching 21st-century skills, promoting students' engagement with literature, ideas and information, and building lifelong learners who will contribute productively to our democratic society.

Jessica and Ashley conducted a Author/Poet Study of Naomi Shibab Nye; she is our Poet/Author of the Month.

 

Josh wrote an article about our Poetry Slam May Literacy Event to be held in the library on Thursday, May 14th at 6:30 p.m. Sign up in advance to be a slammer!

 

Dr. M. has posted the May Newsletter.

 

All library materials are DUE on May 11, 2009. Students, please return ALL your library materials on time.


Library Hours, Check Out, and Staff:

Our library is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:15 a.m. until 3:15 p.m. The library closes when students leave the building for educators' professional development meetings on Wednesdays.

 

Books check out for three weeks; magazines check out for one week. Students who have overdue materials lose their check-out privileges until they return or pay for the outstanding books.
